INTRODUCTION

The youth, particularly those aged 12 to 18 years, are in a critical stage of development that shapes their future as responsible adults. However, many youths in Uganda face significant challenges such as lack of discipline, limited access to mentorship, peer pressure, and exposure to negative influences. These factors contribute to behavioral issues, poor academic performance, and a lack of direction in life. In response to these challenges, we propose the establishment of a Discipline and Transformational Camp designed to provide guidance, discipline, and life skills to the youth, fostering their growth into responsible and productive members of society.

BACKGROUND

Uganda is a youthful nation, with over 78% of its population under the age of 30. The country’s youth, particularly those aged 12 to 18 years, represent a significant proportion of the population and are at a critical juncture in their development. However, this demographic faces numerous challenges that hinder their potential and contribute to various social issues.
